Franklin Glass, 78, of Grayson, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born May 13, 1938 in Grayson; a son of the late Claude and Florence Everman Glass.
He had worked many years for the AC Lawrence Leather Company in Ashland, KY more recently he had worked for Cook’s Family Foods in Grayson, in both places he had many duties including, maintenance, welding, electrical, and plumbing. He was a lifelong farmer, and had been very active as superintendent, and treasurer of the First Church of God in Grayson.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene Greer, and Grace Haney.
He is survived by two sons, Jon (Janie) Glass, and Greg (Beverly) Glass both of Grayson; a brother, Hubert Glass of Argilite, KY; two sisters, Dorothy Carroll of Grayson, and Lois Haney of Columbus, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Morrow Greer of Ashland; three grandchildren, Autumn (Joe) Colvin-Glass, Candice (Justin) Glass, and Angel Rose Glass; two great grandchildren, Tyrian Tackett, and Onyx Colvin-Glass.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, John Lybrook, minister. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens
Visitation will be Friday, March 10 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
